Investigation into suspicious fire at Narrabri

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious fire in the state’s north overnight.

About 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday 9 May 2021), emergency services attended a vacant commercial premise on Maitland Street, Narrabri, following reports of a fire.

Fire crews attended and extinguished multiple fires at the premises with moderate damage sustained to the building.

There’s been no reports of injuries.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations continue, police are appealing for the public’s assistance to identify any suspicious behaviour in the Tibberenna and Lloyd streets area around the time of the incident.
