Investigation underway after firearms and vehicle stolen, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after several firearms, a motor vehicle and other property were stolen from a house in the Southern Tablelands, NSW Police say.

About 9am yesterday (Sunday 9 September 2018), a 69-year-old man returned to his home on Stoney Ridge Road at Jinden, about 78km north-east of Cooma, when he noticed property was missing and one of the doors had been damaged.

Officers from Monaro Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

Police have been told 14 firearms, ammunition, a white 1999 Toyota Landcruiser 4WD, power tools, and tools were stolen.

It’s believed the home may have been broken into between Wednesday 29 August 2018 and Sunday 9 September 2018.
