Investigations continue after hydroponic set-up located at Whitebridge, NSW

Police continue to make inquiries following the discovery of a sophisticated hydroponic set-up in an industrial unit.

Following ongoing inquiries, officers attached to Lake Macquarie Local Area Command executed a search warrant at an industrial unit at Teran Close, Whitebridge, about 2.16pm yesterday.

During the search, officers allegedly located 146 cannabis plants and 161.5g of dried cannabis leaf.

A 35-year-old man from Blacksmiths was arrested today.

He was taken to Belmont Police Station where he was charged with offences relating to the cultivation of the cannabis and possession of a prohibited drug.

The 34-year-old man will appear in the Belmont Local Court on the Wednesday 24 May 2017, NSW Police say.
