Sunshine Coast detectives continue to investigate an incident in which a young girl was assaulted in a toilet block at a Coolum park in early January.

The four-year-old was with family and friends at Tickle Park, David Low Way, on Friday, January 4 when she wandered away from the group and into a nearby unisex toilet block.

A men entered the toilet and indecently assaulted the child.

For orientation purposes the toilet block was located at the Coolum Surf Club end of Tickle Park.

Police are appealing for anyone who noticed anything or anyone suspicious, or anything out of the ordinary in Tickle Park or the local area that afternoon to contact them (details below).
