Investigations underway following discovery of man's body, NSW

Police investigating the discovery of a man's body in Surry Hills this morning have appealed for anyone with information about the death to come forward.

Shortly after 10:35am (Wednesday 2 January 2019), police were called to a home unit in Clisdell Street after concerns were raised about the welfare of the occupant.

Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command attended and discovered the body of a 52-year-old man in the premises.

The officers established a crime scene.

Detectives from Surry Hills PAC are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death and are appealing for information.

Police are trying to determine the man's movements between 3pm on Tuesday 1 January 2019 and 10.30am today (Wednesday 2 January 2019).
