Investigators release images in appeal over assault - Homebush West

Detectives investigating an assault in Sydney's west have released images in an appeal for public assistance.

Just before 2pm on Friday (24 January 2020), a Subaru Forester station wagon came to a stop on The Crescent at Homebush West to park in a nearby parking spot.

A Honda CRV SUV, driven by a 42-year-old man, attempted to drive around the vehicle when a passenger from the Subaru, another 42-year-old man, allegedly jumped in front of his car.

Police will allege in court that the male passenger, along with a group of males, began to assault the driver of the Honda and damage the vehicle.

An eight-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Honda, was not injured.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

A 42-year-old man has been charged and remains before the courts.

As part of their inquiries, detectives have released images of two men who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first man has been described as being of Asian appearance, of a solid build and with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and grey shirt, black pants and black shoes.

The second man has been described as being of Asian appearance, of a medium build, and with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, dark pants, and a black cap.
