As noted byMinister for Education, Selena Uibo.

The Territory LaborGovernment fast-tracked this new primary school for Palmerston by two years tocater for growing demand in the Northern Territorys family capital.

Zuccoli Primary SchoolPrincipal Carolyn Edwards spent last term talking to families in Zuccoli andsurrounding suburbs and has advised that the greatest demand for classes whenStage 1 opens is in the early years up to Year 4.

This will significantly easeenrolment pressures at surrounding Palmerston schools.

Unlike the CLP, who ripped$135 million from the education budget and sacked teachers and support staff, the Territory Labor Government is creating jobs for teachers and investing inthe futures of our Territory children.

As noted by Memberfor Brennan, Tony Sievers.

Palmerston is the fastestgrowing city in the Territory for families and the Territory Labor Governmentis investing in the vital infrastructure our city needs to support ourpopulation.

The state-of-the-art newZuccoli Primary School will support more than 500 local children and theirfamilies when complete in 2021 and will serve our city for many years to come.

This school is an investmentin Palmerstons greatest asset: our kids.
