Central Goldfields Shire Council is pleased to be partnering with Make a Change Australia, bringing their Expand Your Impact program to our region.
It's FREE from September 2022 to April 2023 and all residents, businesses and organisations are invited to benefit.
Expand Your Impact is a collaborative initiative designed to encourage you to think a little differently and grow success in any area of life. Your participation can be via subscribing to receive resources; attending the online workshops; joining a supportive network or all of these great opportunities rolled into one.
"This program provides local people and organisations with useful approaches to boost energy and effectiveness, in order to assist in addressing challenges and to learn new skills. Particularly over these last few years, this style of program is proving to be the perfect fit for people who want to link easily into new ideas" says Karen Corr from Make a Change
"People participate for many reasons including reassessing what's most important, developing new methods for success, connecting better with community, adapting to change, and developing effective new strategies.
Central Goldfields Shire Mayor Cr Chris Meddows-Taylor said he was thrilled to see the Expand Your Impact program on offer to our local community.
"Not only is it free but everyone in our community is welcome. From interested locals, young people, volunteers, sports clubs, community groups, service providers, committees and local businesses.
"Expand Your Impact is a chance to take some time out for yourself, learn, reflect, build skills, make projects happen and connect with like-minded people in the community.
"We invite anyone interested to take up this terrific opportunity and pursue your goals to make an impact - whether for yourself personally, your business or your entire community."
This initiative is for anyone who wants to do more, learn more, connect better, or generally be more effective. It explores 6 key areas useful for making change happen:
- Vision: Discovering and rediscovering 'what lights you up?'
- Projects: Giving thoughts and ideas the structure to 'make them happen'
- Story: Creating your compelling narrative - to 'engage others'
- Team: Building networks, growing communities and enlisting 'support'
- People: Working together effectively for 'greater outcomes'
- Digital Tools: Navigating the world online with 'impact'
