The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Princess Alanood Bint Abdulaziz Bin Musaed Bin Jluwi Al Saud Charitable Foundation (PAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on humanitarian protection, counter-trafficking and international dialogue. The partnership brings together IOM's global expertise on migration and protection with PAF's strong commitment to volunteerism, youth empowerment, and support for vulnerable communities.
"At a time when protection risks are becoming increasingly complex, partnerships rooted in shared values, technical expertise and local leadership are more important than ever," said IOM Chief of Staff Mohammed Abdiker. "This framework opens the door to practical cooperation on anti-trafficking, capacity-building and international dialogue, while helping equip a new generation of humanitarian actors to contribute meaningfully at the global level."
Dr. Yousef bin Othman Al-Hazim, Secretary General of PAF, said: "This agreement reflects our commitment to partnerships that can strengthen humanitarian action and protect vulnerable people. We also believe strongly in investing in Saudi youth and supporting their ability to contribute constructively to national and international development and humanitarian efforts."
Under the MoU, the two organizations intend to explore collaboration on awareness-raising, training, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving the identification and referral of trafficking cases. The partnership also creates an opportunity to further highlight the contributions of Saudi humanitarian and development actors in international forums.
The framework will support continued engagement around relevant Sustainable Development Goals and reinforce a shared commitment to the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
