Jam-packed Calendar of Events for Seniors' Month

The Territory Labor Government is supporting senior Territorians and celebrating their valuable contribution to the community.
This year's Seniors' Month will kick off on 30 July with hundreds of activities for seniors on offer throughout August - encouraging social connectedness, healthy and active lifestyles and maintaining an important participatory role in society.
Many of the activities on offer have been made possible by the Northern Territory Government's Seniors' Month Grant Round, with organisations eligible for up to $2000 to deliver events and activities.
Organisations from Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Batchelor and Borroloola will deliver a diverse range of activities including jewellery making, dancing, computer classes, cultural presentations and fitness classes.
Council of the Ageing NT (COTA NT), the peak body representing senior Territorians, has published the month's calendar of events and will also deliver a range of activities, including Batchelor Seniors' Lunch, Berry Springs COTA NT fifth birthday celebration and painting classes.
