Hunter Sports Centre will be the new training hub for the Newcastle Jets A-League women's team as they take flight for the 2025-2026 season.
The squad, building to improve on its 11th-placed finish last season, will start training at the venue from Tuesday 23 September.
Newcastle Jets CEO Tain Drinkwater recognised the significance of the partnership for the club.
"We are delighted to be partnering with the Hunter Sports Centre to secure a state-of-the-art training facility for our A-League Women's team," she said.
"Securing the Hunter Sports Centre has been a critical step in delivering the professionalism and support that our women's team deserves."
"This new partnership reflects our long-term commitment to growing the women's game and ensuring our athletes have the environment they need to excel both on and off the pitch."
Hunter Sports Centre acting General Manager Michelle Preston-Poole said the new partnership agreement included use of the centre's outdoor fields and indoor training facilities for 32 weeks, with function rooms also provided for team meetings, coaching workshops, video analysis and engagement sessions.
"We're so excited to welcome the Jets women's team to Hunter Sports Centre," she said.
"It's a reflection of the world-class services and facilities we have on offer here. There are also significant opportunities to collaborate with our allied health providers here, our exercise clinic and the Trevor Height Athlete Testing Facility."
Lake Macquarie Mayor Adam Shultz said the deal was another win for Lake Macquarie.
"This demonstrates how our $52 million expansion of Hunter Sports Centre is already paying dividends," he said.
"It is now home to the Newcastle Jets women's team training facilities, the Trampoline Centre of Excellence, one of the Hunter's most advanced 24-hour gyms and the University of Newcastle's exercise physiology clinic."
"We're going from strength to strength promoting sport and active lifestyles in Lake Macquarie, and I am delighted to see that momentum continue."
Under the Jets agreement, Hunter Sports Centre will get sponsor signage at home matches and on the Jets website, along with other recognition and matchday benefits.
"This partnership represents a significant milestone for our organisation and opens doors for further collaboration in elite sport, health and community development," Ms Preston-Poole said.
