Monday, 13 February 2023: Jetstar's newest and most fuel-efficient aircraft, the A321neo LR, will start flying between Adelaide and Bali from 21 July.
The aircraft has up to 46 more seats on each flight compared to the Airbus A320 which is currently flying the route, boosting capacity by 25 per cent and adding around 58,000 more low fares on the ever-popular route.
Two of Jetstar's state-of-the-art, longer-range NEOs will be permanently based in Adelaide from mid-year, flying to Bali as well as domestic destinations to support Jetstar's ongoing commitment to offering incredible low fares.
One-way fares between Adelaide and Bali (Denpasar) currently start from $280 for select travel dates from 24 July to 14 September 2023. Bookings can be made at jetstar.com.
Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said flying the NEO will see Jetstar welcome onboard over 250,000 customers a year between Adelaide and Denpasar.
"Bali has always been Jetstar's most popular international destination and it's not hard to see why with its beautiful beaches, delicious food, friendly locals, affordability, and proximity to Australia," Ms. Tully said.
"We're proud to be flying the newest aircraft in our fleet - the A321neo LR - between Adelaide and Denpasar from mid-July, opening up more seats so that more customers can access our low fares each year."

Adelaide Airport Managing Director, Brenton Cox, said Bali demand had bounced back strongly and continued to be the go-to overseas destination for South Australians.
"South Australians' love affair with Bali continues, with Indonesia once again our biggest international destination," Mr. Cox said.
"We're delighted that two of Jetstar's newest aircraft will now be based in Adelaide providing next generation aircraft product for South Australians."
South Australian Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison, said Jetstar's additional capacity was another welcome boost for the state's growing economy.
"Following three long and difficult years of Covid-19 it is exciting to see airlines returning to South Australia gradually boosting visitation and contributing to SA's economic growth," Ms. Bettison said.
"At a time that aviation is on its way to recovery, this shows confidence to invest in South Australia."
Jetstar's NEOs
The A321neo LR offers the best inflight experience of any low-cost carrier - featuring a quieter cabin, wider seats, bigger overhead bins, inflight USB charging and seat-back device holders.
Jetstar's A321neo LR fleet is continuing to grow, with the fifth NEO due to touch down early next month from the Airbus factory in Germany. In total, the aircraft manufacturer is delivering 18 NEOs by the middle of 2024.
