Joan Norton Appointed to Cricket Victoria Board

The Board of Cricket Victoria welcomes the appointment of Dr Joan Norton as an appointed Director.

Dr Norton brings experience in sports innovation, media rights, and strategic governance to the organisation.

Dr Norton previously held senior commercial roles at Cricket Australia and Swinburne University of Technology and serves as a Director at Rugby Victoria and as Deputy Chair of American Football Australia.

Her leadership and impact have been broadly recognised-she was named in Australian Sports Technology Network's Power 100 List for Women in Sports Innovation in 2023.

Prior to her career in sports innovation, Dr Norton worked as a veterinarian in the racing industry in Australia and the United States.

Cricket Victoria Chair Ross Hepburn welcomed Dr Norton's appointment:

Dr Norton said:
