The 74th anniversary of the founding of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a chance to reflect on the deep friendship between our two nations. During the course of our long partnership, we have cooperated in confronting many challenges and threats together, most recently the COVID-19 pandemic. Together we have improved the quality of life for the people of Jordan, building on decades of the American people's investments in bringing clean drinking water, delivering quality infrastructure, and supplying modern educational and healthcare facilities to communities across the Kingdom.
We are grateful for our partnership with Jordan and the impact that it has had in the region. Together we have saved lives from the scourge of terrorism, addressed the needs of refugees fleeing conflict, and promoted a more stable and secure Middle East.
The United States congratulates you on Jordan's National Day and conveys our best wishes for peace, prosperity, and good health to the people of Jordan in the upcoming year.
