Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a chemical spill at a water treatment plant on Byrnes Road and Protheroe Road, Joyner. QFES Scientific Officers are currently performing atmospheric testing. This is anticipated to be a protracted incident. Nearby residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Residents in the area should call Triple Zero (000) for any life threatening emergencies.
