About 5.45am (Sunday 21 February 2021), officers from The Hume Police District attended a house in Chisholm Street following reports of a fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW were also in attendance and the blaze was quickly extinguished.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation commenced.

Following inquiries, officers arrested two boys - aged 14 and 13 - about 9.30am today (Sunday 21 February 2021), and they were taken to Goulburn Police Station.

The teens were interviewed and will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.

Police will allege the boys poured accelerant around the home before setting it alight. It is further alleged a table was thrown through a window of the house. At the time of the incident a 64-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were asleep.

The occupants of the home were uninjured.
