Allens M&A Partner Kate Towey has been appointed to the Takeovers Panel, Australia's primary forum for resolving takeover disputes.
Announced by Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, The Hon Stephen Jones MP, Kate's appointment will see her take a three-year term on the panel, commencing 2 April 2023.

'The Takeovers Panel plays a particularly important role in times like these by protecting the integrity of our market when disputes arise and conditions are uncertain.

A leading corporate and M&A specialist, Kate has significant experience advising on large and complex processes and transactions, with deep expertise in property, infrastructure and government.
Kate joins fellow Allens Partner Chelsey Drake as one of 53 appointed members on the panel.
