Keep pets safe these holidays

Are you planning on adding a new pet to the family these holidays? Keep your pet safe by making sure your furry friend is microchipped and registered.

Both cats and dogs need to be registered and this can be done online or through Council's Customer Service Centre.

If you already own a pet, make sure that their details are up to date. If there's a change in circumstance such as having sold an animal, changed address or if you're pet has passed away, you need to let Council know.

With New Year's Eve and Australia Day celebrations just around the corner, keeping your pet's details up to date is important in case they get lost. It's a good idea to keep all pets inside during the fireworks as even the best behaved pooch can get a little frightened.
