Keri Gilder of Colt Technology to Headline Optica Executive Forum

Optical networking and communications leaders convene in San Diego to discuss technology advancements and business opportunities

WASHINGTON - Optica Executive Forum, a 1-day event for C-suite level executives in optical networking and communications will feature Keri Gilder, CEO, Colt Technology Services as its keynote speaker. The in-person event will be held 07 March 2022 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, CA.

Gilder is responsible for executing Colt's strategy which centers around transforming the way the world works through the power of connectivity. Before becoming CEO, Gilder was Colt's Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), leading global teams across sales, presales, and marketing, as well as working closely with the wider organization to ensure Colt delivered for its customers.

Before joining Colt, Gilder held several leadership roles at Ciena, most recently Vice President and General Manager EMEA, responsible for guiding Ciena's EMEA service provider and enterprise customers. Gilder is passionate about promoting Inclusion and Diversity, also leading Colt's Diversity Council to ensure Colt is a business where everyone feels they can bring their authentic selves to work.

In her keynote address, Gilder will focus on the urgency for a modern telco. Despite the criticality of communications to enable digital transformation, traditional models do not allow them to tap into growth. Her message will focus on the modern telco's four layers; the core infrastructure, the security layer, the communities that we operate in, and the climate.

"Keri brings an excellent wealth of knowledge in this field. She is passionate about the work she does and we are excited to have her as our keynote speaker."

In addition to the keynote speaker, attendees will hear from four-panel discussions and a business fireside chat. Panel speakers include executives from Google, Broadcom, Meta, Cisco Systems, Lumentum, Verizon, Infinera, Nokia, China Mobile, BT, Windstream, Marvell, SubCom, and Seaborn. Attendees will learn about the technology advancements and business opportunities that will shape the network of their companies.

The Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) takes place 06 -10 March 2022 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA. For 45 years OFC, has been the premier international event for the latest advances in optical communications and networking. This year's conference will be a hybrid format with in-person and virtual components to meet the unique needs of a global audience.

The five-day technical conference features peer-reviewed presentations in 100+ sessions and more than 120 invited speakers in the industry presenting the highlights of emerging technologies. Additional technical programming throughout the week includes special symposia, special sessions, in-depth tutorials, workshops, panels, and the thought-provoking rump session.
