King's Business School has supported over 65 small business leaders through the government-backed Help to Grow: Management programme, with applications now open for its next heavily subsidised cohort starting this autumn.

King's Business School has now delivered four successful cohorts of the Help to Grow: Management programme, equipping over 65 small business leaders with the tools to grow their businesses and lead with confidence.
The national programme, developed by the Small Business Charter and supported by the UK Government, has now helped more than 10,000 participants nationwide. King's Business School is one of over 60 trusted delivery partners across the UK and has opened applications for its next London-based cohort, starting this autumn.
The 9-week course is designed specifically for small and medium-sized business owners and decision-makers. Delivered through a mix of online sessions, in-person learning, and one-to-one mentoring, the programme equips participants with the tools to boost productivity, innovate, and lead more effectively.
At King's, the latest cohort isn't made up of the usual corporate elite. Instead, the Help to Grow programme brings together driven small business owners who are creating real impact in their communities. Many have never had access to formal business training, despite running successful businesses and employing dozens of people.
Julian Glyn-Owen, Executive Fellow in Leadership at King's Business School, reflects on the unique energy of the participants: 'They are real business owners dealing with 360-degree challenges... and this is having an impact'. Their day-to-day realities bring a level of relevance to the classroom that enriches the learning experience for everyone involved.
One of the most accessible leadership development programmes available, 90% of the course cost is subsidised by the UK Government, bringing the participant fee down to just £750.
According to independent research by Ipsos, over 90% of past participants have reported improved leadership and management skills, and 62% have seen increased sales since completing the programme.
