Pavan Nagra, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager in Estates & Facilities, wins joint Gold EDI Award at the 2026 AUDE Awards.

We are delighted to celebrate Pavan Nagra, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager in Estates & Facilities, who was named a joint Gold winner of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award at the 2026 AUDE Awards.
The award recognises Pavan's outstanding contribution over the past 18 months in accelerating the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) journey across Estates & Facilities (E&F) at King's, ensuring inclusion is embedded not only in policy, but in everyday practice and decision‑making across the Directorate.
Key achievements acknowledged by the awarding body include embedding inclusive thinking into processes, projects and everyday practice, refreshing the E&F EDI Steering Group to move from awareness‑raising to meaningful action, and working with our E&F Senior Leadership Team to create an EDI statement to verbalise the Directorates call to action and deliver real change.
Also acknowledged was the creation of Accessibility Design Principles which are now embedded in and informing major campus developments such as Bush House South West Wing. These principles provide a consistent framework to ensure accessibility and inclusive design are considered and evidenced from the earliest stages of planning through to delivery.
Pavan has also co-led alongside Jennifer Harley, Associate Director for Disability Support & Inclusion, the introduction of Accessible Room Levels across the University that have been developed in close consultation with students and staff, and underpinned by robust audit data from AccessAble. This approach provides a clear, evidence‑based way to prioritise and target improvements across the estate, supporting more transparent decision‑making and to meet our aim for independent and equitable access of our estates and services.
I'm really proud of what has been achieved over the last 2 years. This award recognises the collective effort across Estates & Facilities, students and colleagues to embed inclusion and accessibility at the heart of how we design, manage and use our spaces and services. There's still more to do, but this award is a lovely recognition of the hard work we've put in so far.
