A man will face court today after allegedly breaching an AVO after police tracked the man to the home of a woman known to him in Sydney's south west yesterday.
Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command's Domestic Violence Team attended a home in Narellan Vale about 11.50am yesterday (Wednesday 9 April 2025), due to concerns a 45-year-old man had allegedly breached an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO).
On arrival, checks revealed an electronic monitoring device to be active nearby and police conducted a canvass of the area, arresting the man inside the home.
When police searched the premises, the resident, a woman aged in her 60s, was found hiding in a wardrobe. A knife was found allegedly hidden nearby.
The man was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic), and breach of bail.
The man was refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Thursday 10 April 2025).
