Under Labor, at least $15 billion has been lost to corruption over the past decade, yet Premier Allan continues to turn a blind eye and fails to take decisive action.
This week the Allan Labor Government has voted down laws introduced by the Liberals and Nationals that would have strengthened the powers of IBAC, established a construction watchdog and booted criminals off major projects.
Labor will never address the corruption that has flourished under their watch.
Only a Wilson Liberal and Nationals Government will clean up Victoria by:
- Establishing a Royal Commission into CFMEU misconduct;
- Delivering more powers for IBAC;
- Establishing Construction Enforcement Victoria;
- Targeting crime bosses and stamping out organised crime on government projects; and
- Creating a taskforce to recover money stolen from government projects.
Shadow Attorney-General, James Newbury, said: "Labor's cover-up of the largest corruption scandal in Victoria's history continues.
"Only a Liberal and Nationals Government will enforce the law, find the money and stop the rorts.
Shadow Minister for Police and Corrections, Brad Battin, said: "By blocking these laws, Labor is giving the green light for organised criminals to continue to rort Victorians' money on major project sites.
"Labor has failed Victorians. Only a Liberal and Nationals Government will end the waste, stop the corruption and clean up Victoria."
