Tasmanian Labor is continuing its relentless attack on community groups as it seeks to undermine Tasmania's new container deposit scheme.
Officially launched today, Recycle Rewards provides a new way to raise funds for charities, community groups, environmental groups, sporting clubs and educational organisations.
Minister for the Environment, Madeleine Ogilvie, said that Labor has chosen to play politics over supporting community organisations.
"Yet again, Labor have proved to be anti-schools, anti-scouts, anti-everything," Minister Ogilvie said.
"Recycle Rewards will create a community of fundraising, enabling more money to flow to grassroots organisations.
"The scheme will also reduce litter by half and double the recycling rates of eligible containers, contributing to our national circular economy.
"This means cleaner Tasmanian parks, streets and beaches.
"Labor should get onboard rather than keep pedaling their relentless negativity."
