Reflections is holding a Community Feedback Day at its Lake Glenbawn Holiday Park next Saturday, 21 September from 10:00am to 2:00pm to showcase an exciting vision for the popular park should it be successful in receiving grant funding.
Reflections Holiday Parks CEO Steve Edmonds said there would be free park entry and food and refreshments, as well as a jumping castle, for the Community Day next weekend, where a proposed $1M Recreation Hub along the Eastern Foreshore would be unveiled.
"Lake Glenbawn is a key recreational space for the community and visitors to the region and we want to make a great space ever better," Mr Edmonds said.
"We have a great vision for the park and we are inviting the community and all interested stakeholders to come to the park. meet our team and see what we have proposed.
"As part of the first stage of fulfilling this vision, we are seeking feedback and more importantly support from the Community on a Grant application for the creation of a Recreation Hub at the Eastern Foreshore of the Park.
"The grant submission is for the Regional Growth – Stronger Country Community Fund provided by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and the Environment.
"We will be asking for up to $1M through the Grant process and invite everyone who loves Lake Glenbawn as much as we do to have some input and show their support.
"The Recreation Hub could include such elements as an all-inclusive play space, sensory garden, enhanced landscaping, BMX track, outdoor event space, and additional picnic areas for families to enjoy.
"Reflections is about encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle, in an environment that allows communities across NSW to enjoy amazing locations with family and friends."
Mr Edmonds said Reflections was a self-funded organisation with all surplus funds reinvested back into the Group's 37 holiday parks and reserves across NSW.
"Our inland parks throughout country NSW, including at Lake Glenbawn, are staffed by warm-hearted people who love rural country life and we will continue to seek funding opportunities through the NSW Government to continue to invest in our parks and our people," Mr Edmonds said.
