Lake Haven Man Charged for Filming Woman Illegally

A man will face court charged after allegedly filming a woman without consent on the Central Coast last week.

On Wednesday 14 May 2025, police began an investigation following reports a man allegedly filmed a woman without consent in the bathroom of a fast-food outlet in Lake Haven.

Following extensive inquiries by Tuggerah Lakes Detectives, officers attended a home at Hamlyn Terrace yesterday (Thursday 22 May 2025).

When a search warrant was executed at the home, police allegedly located and seized clothing, cannabis, and electronics which will undergo further examination.

Officers arrested a 26-year-old man and took him to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with four counts of peep or pry, intentionally record intimate image without consent etc, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court today (Friday 22 May 2025).
