Landing incident at Parafield

Two men escaped injury after an incident on landing at Parafield Airport this afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 3pm on Sunday 28 August.

The front nose wheel of the twin engine Piper aircraft collapsed on landing. The pilot managed to steer the plane onto a grassed area.

The two men onboard walked away, uninjured.

The aircraft will be towed for examination as part of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) investigation into the incident.
