Large hydroponic setup dismantled - Chifley

Police are investigating after a large hydroponic setup was located following search warrant in the state's central tablelands.

In March 2023, officers attached to Chifley Police District Proactive Crime Team and Criminal Investigation Team commenced an investigation into the alleged supply of cannabis in the Bathurst region.

Following inquiries, about 8am yesterday (Wednesday 15 March 2023), officers, assisted by the Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit, executed a search warrant at a home on Russell Street, Bathurst.

During the search of the premises, officers allegedly uncovered a sophisticated hydroponic setup.

Officers dismantled and seized the hydroponic setup including 201 cannabis plants, which has undergone forensic examination.
