Latest round of recipients of council's Minor Grants Program announced

Community groups have shared in $7,600 worth of grants as part of Northern Grampians Shire Council's Minor Grants Program.

The financial contributions help to assist one-off specific projects by individuals or groups who reside within Northern Grampians Shire.

Stawell Ward Councillor, Cr Murray Emerson said, "I'd like to congratulate all recipients of our Minor Grants Program, and I'm looking forward to seeing the outcomes of these projects come to fruition."

"These grants are available for applications all year round so we certainly encourage other individuals and groups within our shire to apply for future funding."

● $500 - Grampians Toy Club - to go towards the purchase of a wheelchair access vehicle.

● $500 - Abby Bibby - to allow her to compete in the Gold Coast Netball Carnival.

● $500 - Sarah Little - to go towards attending the Youth Science Forum.

● $500 - Stawell Orchid Club - to go towards Annual Summer Show.

● $500 - Tom Walker - to go towards attending the Australian Cross Country Championships.

● $500 each - to seven athletes attending the Tri-State Games in Adelaide.

● $500 - Stawell Probus Club - purchase of a laptop to use at meetings.

● $300 - St Arnaud Angling Club - to update honour board.

● $300 - Navarre Historical Society - to go towards Australia Day Ceremony breakfast.

● $250 - Grampians Railroaders - for printing of leaflets for Model Railway Exhibition.

● $250 - Stawell Interchurch - to go towards Christmas appeal.
