Launceston CIB investigates theft of 18 chainsaws

Launceston CIB is investigating the theft of 18 chainsaws from the back of a ute in Launceston early yesterday,

About 4am on Wednesday 1 May 2019, offenders smashed a window of a locked canopy of a utility that was parked in the carpark of the Balmoral Hotel in York Street Launceston.

Offenders stole 18 Husqvarna Chainsaws, valued at $11,000, which included:

14 x Husqvarna model 12OE Mark 2 chainsaws valued at $300 each.

3 x Husqvarna model 565 chainsaws valued at $1529 each

1 x Husqvarna model 390 XP chainsaw valued at $2199

Launceston CIB is investigating this matter and are seeking assistance to identify the persons responsible for the burglary, and for any information that may lead to the recovery of any of these stolen Husqvarna chainsaws.
