Launceston Man Faces Multiple Traffic Charges

A 32-year-old Riverside man has been disqualified from driving for 24 months and charged with multiple traffic offences following a single-vehicle crash on Bald Hill Road at Trevallyn earlier this afternoon.

The man allegedly left the scene of the crash and was found at a private residence by police a short time later where he underwent breath analysis.

He returned a breath alcohol level of 0.170 – more than three times the legal limit.

The driver was already subject to a zero blood alcohol limit.

He was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court in May.

Anyone with information about the crash or who witnessed a green Holden hatchback driving prior to the incident should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
