A Launceston woman who usually forgets to buy her TattsLotto ticket has had the surprise of a lifetime after discovering she scored $2 million, just in time for her birthday.
The Tasmanian resident held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4641, drawn Saturday 10 January 2026. Each entry pocketed a sweet $2 million.
"I did have a look at my ticket on the weekend, but I didn't want to get too excited," she laughed.
"I didn't know how to feel when I saw it. It's life-changing. It just doesn't feel real.
"It's pretty funny because my partner plays religiously and never misses a week, whereas I always forget. I only said to him last weekend, 'Don't worry, I got it early this week, so I don't miss out again!'.
"I really just can't believe this. It's my birthday this month too!"
When asked how she planned to use her multi-million dollar boost, the winning woman had a few plans in mind.
"We've been discussing a few things like paying off the mortgage or investing," she said.
"I'd love to help mum and dad with their home too. They've helped me a lot over the years."
Her 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
