Launch of the 2019 Victoria Police and Emergency Services Games

The Launch of the 2019 Victoria Police and Emergency Services Games in February was to encourage all emergency services employees and volunteers to get involved in the games.

At the launch MC Steve Moneghetti introduced Minister Lisa Neville and representatives of the 23 agencies involved. Members from Victoria Police, MFB, CFA and SES then presented a grandstand rappel exercise showing how all services can assist each other.

"It was a fantastic morning at the MCG for the launch," said Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp. "A great demonstration of organisational rope capacity for agencies. Let the games begin."

Following the awards presentations, Bruce McGain (former Australian cricketer) spoke about his sporting career and officially opened the games.
