Lavington mother is about to swap her daily routine for lasting memories, vowing to take her family on a holiday after scoring a $1 million Weekday Windfall win.
The Albury resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4700, drawn just two days before Mother's Day on Friday 8 May 2026. She took home a total prize of $1 million.
When we spoke with the winner, she admitted she'd barely slept a wink all weekend.
"Oh my god! I've been waiting for this confirmation!" she laughed.
"I've looked at my ticket about a million times since I checked on Friday night.
"I've been so excited that I've hardly slept.
"It's so surreal. You don't know anyone that wins let alone yourself!
"I don't play every week. I just buy a ticket here and there, and this one was just QuickPick.
"I've struggled my whole life, so you have no idea how much this means. We can buy a house now and live more comfortably. It's unbelievable.
When asked how she planned to celebrate the thrilling news, the generous woman admitted she'd already declared she'll be taking her family on a much-needed getaway.
"I told my family we're all going on a holiday together," she laughed.
"I don't know where yet but as long we make some special memories, that's what matters."
Her winning System 7 QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
