Leading University Through Change

Australian Catholic University

In this episode of the Studiosity podcast, ACU Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Zlatko Skrbis joins host Professor Judyth Sachs for a wide-ranging conversation on leadership, the future of higher education, and the role universities play in a rapidly changing world.

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of joining Professor Judyth Sachs for a thoughtful discussion about what it means to lead a university through a period of constant disruption.

We explored the challenges facing higher education, from navigating financial pressures without losing sight of long-term purpose, to balancing a nationwide presence with tight-knit, local community campuses.

Our conversation also turned to the future of university education in an era of AI and rapid technological change.

While technology will continue to reshape how we learn and work, I believe the enduring value of a university education will remain in developing the human capabilities that technology cannot replace: the ability to build relationships, think critically, reflect and connect with others.

I hope you'll take the time to listen.
