Learner five times over limit in Fawkner

An unaccompanied learner driver was allegedly found to be more than five times over the limit in Fawkner last night.

Fawkner Highway Patrol officers observed a vehicle with no headlights on and intercepted it on Sydney Road about 8.10pm.

The driver, a 26-year-old Werribee woman, was taken to a police station for an evidentiary breath test.

Her provisional licence was immediately suspended after she returned an alleged reading of .268.

She is expected to be charged on summons in relation to drink driving and other traffic matters.
