In support of national efforts in Lebanon to develop more equitable policies, ESCWA held on 26 February a first national capacity-building workshop on designing inclusive policies to reduce multidimensional inequality in the country.
The workshop, held at the UN House in Beirut, focused on strengthening participants' understanding of how to design inclusive, evidence-based development policies that respond to national needs and integrate the principles of equality and social justice, with particular emphasis on the inclusion and economic empowerment of youth.
The workshop brought together members of the recently established National Task Force on Equality, which includes representatives from several ministries and national institutions.
