On the sidelines of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women held in New York, ESCWA co-organized a hybrid event on 11 March to explore pathways for legal reform for gender justice in the Arab region, bringing together representatives of member States, civil society organizations, and key stakeholders.

Held in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and UN Women, the event provided an overview of key trends in recent legal reforms affecting women's rights in the region.

Participants also examined varied successful approaches in the region and explored the Regional Gender Justice Portal and interactive tool.
