In great news for local football fans, Sydney FC have just locked in 11 games at Leichhardt Oval for the 2025/26 season. Held between October and March this season, there will be 8 A-League Women's fixtures and 3 A-League Men's games played at the "Eighth wonder of the World".
As well as these exciting fixtures, APIA Leichhardt FC will also play three National Premier League (NPL) games at the ground.
This announcement comes just weeks after the Wests Tigers committed to playing at their spiritual home for the next 15 years. Once again proving that Leichhardt Oval is not just Sydney's favourite suburban ground but also the hardest working.
Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne said, "We've secured funding to upgrade this iconic ground for athletes and fans of men's and women's football, rugby league and rugby union. Today's announcement shows the clubs are voting with their feet by wanting to play more games at Leichhardt than ever before."
