Major Crash Investigators have charged a 49 year old man as a result of their investigation into a fatal crash that occurred around 12:10pm in Lesley on Sunday, 29 January 2017.
It is alleged the man was driving a Land Rover Discovery that crashed with a Nissan Navara approximately two kilometres east of Kinsella Road, WA Police say.
Two passengers in the Nissan Navara, a 68 year old man and a 67 year old woman both, of Eighty Mile Beach died as a result of injuries received in the crash.
The 49 year old man from Rockingham has been charged with:-
•Two counts of Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death (whilst impaired by drugs); and
•One count of Dangerous Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm (whilst impaired by drugs).
He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on 25 July 2017.
