Edward River Library is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new Edward River Library App, giving the community a simpler, smarter way to access everything the library has to offer -right from their mobile phone.

Designed as a one-stop shop for library services, the new app makes it easier than ever to discover, borrow and enjoy library resources anytime, anywhere.

The mobile-friendly app brings together both physical and digital collections through a single search interface. Whether you're looking for your next great read or checking what's on at the library, the app puts everything at your fingertips.

With the Edward River Library App, members can carry their digital library card, search the catalogue, place holds and manage loans with ease. The app also allows users to access eBooks and audiobooks instantly, seamlessly linking to BorrowBox and other digital platforms.

Members can check due dates, renew loans, scan a book's identification (ISBN) number while shopping to see if it's available to borrow, and even review books and discover new titles. Families can link accounts to manage children's loans in one convenient place.

The app also keeps users up to date with library events, programs and branch opening hours, making it easier than ever to stay connected.

Library Coordinator Christine Evola said the app would transform how members interact with the service.

"This app truly brings the library into your pocket," Ms Evola said. "It's never been easier to borrow, browse and stay connected with everything happening at Edward River Library."

Edward River Council CEO Jack Bond said the app reflects Council's commitment to improving access through technology.

"This is an important step forward in using technology to make our library services more accessible for everyone, wherever they are," Mr Bond said.

Community members can download the 'Edward River Library' app from the App Store or Google Play, then log in using their library member number, password and PIN to begin exploring.
