As this year's Elev8 cohort completes their second core experience - The Cultural Leader - they're building purposeful leadership that strengthens teams, culture and the services we deliver.
Leadership isn't always about stepping up - sometimes it's about stepping back and making space to reflect, reconnect and refocus on the impact you want to have.
The Elev8 program gives public sector leaders that space - to pause, rethink how they lead and can better support their colleagues and communities.
"It's about building leadership capabilities to enable you to meet the challenges in the working world," says Morven Galbraith-Menzies, Manager Referrals, Notifications and Assessments at the Public Sector Commission and a current Elev8 participant.
"You not only get to hear from experts," she says, "but also learn from other leaders at your level who all come with different experiences, perspectives and viewpoints."
Elev8 brings together Level 8 leaders from across the public sector to participate in workshops, peer learning and guided reflection and expand their leadership approach in a practical, grounded way.
The program recognises that public sector leaders at this level play a crucial role in shaping culture and strengthening the way agencies work and the services they deliver to the community.
