Head to Banna Lane and Kooyoo Street on Saturday 8 May, for the 'Lighting of the Lane', a key event of the Street Scapes Festival.
This is a laneway party like nothing experienced before, and will celebrate the completion of the Banna Lane murals.
With Kooyoo Street and Banna Lane open to pedestrian traffic only, this is a fantastic opportunity to take in the artworks, and see them lit up for the very first time.
Alongside the new murals, the Kooyoo Street projections will be launched, transforming the area into an engaging and inspiring work of art.
Banna Lane Festival Organiser, Carrah Lymer said the 'Lighting of the Lane is a not to be missed event.
"The major event, Lighting up the Lane will be held on the evening of Saturday 8 May 2021," said Mrs Lymer.
"Lighting up of the Lane will celebrate the addition of artwork to the city's landscape and see the murals lit up at night for the first time - you will not want to miss this!" she said.
The lane will be closed for the celebration which will see live music, local wine, beer, and food, roving performers, and children's activities, making this an ideal night out for the whole family to enjoy.
Griffith City Council's Event Coordinator, Georgina Horton said the Lighting of the Lane is the perfect celebration of art and culture for Griffith.
"We are excited to partner with Banna Lane Festival for this event, which will bring a real party atmosphere to Banna Lane and Kooyoo Street," said Ms Horton.
"Wander through the lane and witness the lighting of the murals for the first time, be entertained by the roving performers, enjoy a glass of wine or a beer, delicious food and there are plenty of activities to keep the children busy.
"Make sure you stop by Kooyoo Street and view the art projections which will be unveiled - these works are awe inspiring and you will be amazed with what has been created," she added.
