  • Major event to return to Kings Park in June and July 2024 with Lightscape tickets now on sale
  • 'Roots' theme at the centre of 2km trail exploring heritage and Noongar culture
  • Crowd-favourite Winter Cathedral to return with spectacular array of more than 100,000 lights

Western Australians will be given another opportunity to experience global sensation Lightscape when it returns to Kings Park in 2024.

Next year's edition will be based on a new 'roots' theme, which will delve into the hidden mysteries of the world beneath Kings Park while also celebrating the area's Noongar culture, history, heritage, and storytelling.

Visitors will be welcomed by a new soundscape, which will provide the backdrop to intricate colour-changing clusters, glowing root chandeliers and a larger-than-life tunnel of hearts.

Fans of this year's event will also be pleased to see the return of Winter Cathedral, a crowd favourite which draws on a spectacular array of more than 100,000 twinkling lights.

Lightscape is a partnership between Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority and Sony, powered by City of Perth with support from Roy Hill.

Tickets are on sale from 22 December 2023 via Ticketek.

As stated by Environment Minister Reece Whitby:

"Lightscape is a perfect example of how our great State's art, culture and environment can come together to create a unique, after-dark outdoor event enjoyed by people of all ages.

"This year's event was warmly received, and I strongly encourage Western Australians to come and see Kings Park as you have never seen it before."
