Police charged female with liquor offences

Northern Territory Police have charged a 29-year-old female with liquor offences in the West Arnhem region on Wednesday 6 January 2021.

At around 5pm, police apprehended a vehicle on an access road for the purpose of a vehicle check during which police located:

  • 59 standard drinks
  • 2 X packages of cannabis

The vehicle was seized and the female was charged with:

  • drive unregistered, uninsured and unlicensed
  • bring liquor into an alcohol protection area
  • possess liquor in an alcohol protection area
  • possess cannabis - public place
  • possess cannabis - trafficable quantity
  • supply less than commercial quantity of schedule 2 drug

She was issued with a notice to appear and will appear in the local court a later date.
