Lithgow Floodplain Risk Plan Exhibition Update

The Council is now into the second week of public exhibition of the study. Lithgow Council has welcomed the level of interest in the Lithgow Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan 2023. A successful community presentation was held on 28 April 2023 with around 150 interested persons attending.

Due to the high level of public interest in this important project, the Council is providing further opportunity for the community to meet with Council's staff one-on-one to discuss the content of the document and what it means for landowners.

These sessions are being scheduled by appointment only. To book an appointment please contact the Council on 02 63549999. These sessions will be up to 15 minutes in length and will be able to be booked, subject to availability, for between 11am and 7pm Monday 3 April 2023 and 8.30am and 4.30pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023.

These sessions will be held at the Council's Administration Centre, 180 Mort Street, Lithgow 2790.

In addition to this, Council officers are still available to assist any interested person with their enquiries either in person at Council's Administration Centre, via phone 02 63549999 or via the enquiry form on Council's Website at: https://council.lithgow.com/draft-lithgow-floodplain-risk-management-study-and-plan/.

The public exhibition period is scheduled to close on 28 April 2023. All written submissions should be received by Council by close of business on 28 April 2023.

Should the community identify a need to extend this exhibition period, Council will consider this closer to the end of this period.
