Little Quokka's Big Birthday Bash on Rottnest Island

  • Little Quokka's Big Birthday weekend will be held on Rottnest Island 20-21 September

The Cook Government is supporting families to experience a day trip to Rottnest Island by waiving same-day return island admission fees for children 16 years and under between 20 and 21 September.

This year's event features an expanded program of interactive family activities, including:

  • live music and entertainment;
  • art, crafts, and sensory play experiences, including building a native bee hotel and creating art from recycled materials;
  • conservation, wildlife and eco-education sessions such as meeting birds of prey; and
  • interactive quokka talks with island rangers

Visitors travel from all over the world to Rottnest Island to see quokkas in their natural habitat. Little Quokka's Big Birthday offers a unique opportunity to learn more about these iconic marsupials while enjoying a weekend of free, family fun.

The Cook Government is committed to its economic diversification strategy to support tourism and hospitality businesses on Rottnest Island.
