Live music call-out for Inner West creative community

Inner West Council

Like to put on a show in your neighbourhood?

Inner West Council is calling for local communities and creatives to apply for up to $20,000 in funding to deliver live music events.

Council is offering up to $100,000 in total funding to support five individuals or organisations – one from each council ward of Ashfield, Leichhardt, Balmain, Marrickville and Stanmore.

Expressions of Interest opened Tuesday 11 April and close Thursday 11 May.

Council wants to inspire live music experiences that reflect the diverse communities of the Inner West.

The program is based on the huge success of the Council-supported St. Anmore Music Festival delivered in Stanmore by community members in 2019 and 2022.

As part of the program, Council's Events team will provide support and expertise to help guide you and show how to deliver live music projects into the future.

Council would like you to describe the project and include the proposed location, target audience and budget.

There is plenty of room for imagination, so let us know about your amazing live music proposal.

The gigs must be free public-facing events, have a focus on live music, are led by the community and can be delivered by 1 September 2024.
