Lives lost amended after investigations, South Australia

The number of lives lost on the State's roads has been amended to 18 following investigations into three fatal crashes.

This first incident on Monday 20 January, where a car collided with a tree the intersection of Victor Harbor Road and Jacobs Road at Mount Compass and a 76-year-old man died, has been determined to be due to a medical episode.

The second incident on Sunday 16 February, where a 28-year-old pedestrian was struck by a truck on the Port Wakefield Highway and a third incident yesterday (Monday 2 March) where a 20-year-old man was struck by a bus, have both been removed from the lives lost list.

There have now been 18 lives lost on the state's road compared with 19 at the same time last year.
