Local Artists And Makers In Spotlight For Hawkesbury Now 2025

Image of people viewing artworks in the Hawkesbury Now exhibitionHawkesbury Regional Gallery's annual exhibition and art fair, Hawkesbury Now, is back for another year showcasing local talent from art organisations and societies within the Hawkesbury Region.

From 24 October – 30 November, the gallery walls will be filled with vibrant artworks spanning mediums such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewellery and more.

The exhibiting artists will represent local organisations and art societies including Ferry Artists, Friends of Hawkesbury Art Community and Regional Gallery Inc. (FOHAC), Hawkesbury Artists & Artisans Trail, Hawkesbury Camera Club, Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop, Hawkesbury Remakery, Macquarie Towns Art Society, Piggery Lane Studios & Gallery, and TAFE NSW – Media, Arts, Design + Entertainment (MADE) Western Sydney.

All artworks are for sale, offering an opportunity for audiences to purchase a unique piece of local art and support our regions thriving arts community. Whether you are looking for a dramatic painting for our living room, or a small sculpture for a bookshelf – there is something to suit all tastes and budgets.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of creative workshops, and an immersive Maker Space featuring FREE drop-in activities for all ages. The Maker Space also serves as a designated Quiet Space from 12pm – 2pm on weekdays.

Hawkesbury Now 2025 will be showing at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery from Saturday 25 October until Sunday 30 November. Opening hours Monday, Wednesday – Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am – 3pm. Gallery entry is FREE for all ages.

Workshop: Unfinished Business with Carol Gill

Saturday, 8 November, 10:30am – 12:30pm | $10

Bring along your sketchbook with those unfinished sketches and join mixed media collage artist, Carol Gill, to rekindle your enthusiasm. Morning tea is provided, please bring your own project and art-making supplies.

Workshop: Drypoint Printmaking with Freedom Wilson

Saturday, 22 November, 10am – 3pm | $45

Join Blue Mountains artist Freedom Wilson to create your own Trees of the Hawkesbury (A6) Artists Book. Turn tetra packs into printing materials as you draw inspiration from this beautiful region.
